OOTD: Up Central Park, Down SOHO!
My OOTD: Up Central Park, Down Soho shares two OOTD in NYC. My trip consisted of walking, walking, and walking; so I wanted to keep most of my outfit choices comfortable and cute.
My first OOTD was for our stroll in central park, shopping on 5th ave, and dinner at Grand Central Station. ( Jam packed day😅) I choose something I can switch in an out of for shopping, keep me warm for walking in the NY cold, and cute for pics.😋 My long sleeve top was the statement piece of this outfit. I paired it with a rustic orange A-line skirt to give this outfit an unexpected combination. To tone down the stripes, and colors, I evened out the look with black tights, shoes, and belt. My favorite piece was the skirt. This mini hugs the waist, and slowly widens at the hips, a flattering style for curves😍
BELT: Thrift Find
My second OOTD was for our stroll in Soho. We started our day by walking out the door, and walking right back inside … it started to pour! I chose a very casual fit for our day in the rain! ☔️☔️ The last thing I wanted on this trip was to get sick.🚫😷 So I wanted pieces that would keep me warm, but that I could easily take off in changing rooms, and at “rest stops”. So in order to ditch the scarf (unnecessary cargo) I chose a thick turtleneck. High waisted jeans, and black booties (my go-to booties for this trip👌🏻) to jump, run, and hurdle through any NY streets.💪🏻 Last, but not least (not least at all) my faux fur coat. My favorite part of this outfit. I know it doesn’t scream casual, but it was a part of my OOTD that kept me very warm, and was easy to layer off!
